Students at Clio Intermediate School are participating in Reader’s Theater, an instructional strategy that strengthens reading fluency, comprehension, and speaking skills. By reading scripts aloud with expression and purpose, students engage in repeated reading, which supports accuracy, pacing, and prosody. This approach also promotes collaboration, builds confidence, and encourages students to take ownership of their learning.
Through this activity, students are not only improving their literacy skills but also developing communication and teamwork skills in an engaging, meaningful way.

Dear Families,
Out of an abundance of caution, we went into secure mode this morning to address a concern that was brought forward by a student. Student safety is always our top priority. Everything was fine and we are back to our regular school day. feel free to contact me at (810) 591-7652, or jamccallum@clioschools.org if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Mrs. McCallum

CIS students spread some springtime cheer this week by creating Easter and spring cards for residents at a local nursing home! 🌸🐰 The residents were thrilled to receive the handmade cards and loved seeing the students’ creativity and kind messages.
This activity was a wonderful way for our students to give back to the community, brighten someone’s day, and celebrate the season. It’s always special to see the smiles and joy that simple acts of kindness can bring!
